She supports through pregnancy, preparing for birth and helping clear ailments. After birth psychological support can help alongside craniosacral therapy and Sarah is highly experienced in helping mothers and babies through births that may have felt traumatic as well as treating health issues postnatally – sleep. Joan has extensive experience working with mothers and babies, children and women in pregnancy; Joan used this non intrusive therapy to release trauma at the birth of her grandson "a wonderful moving  and therapeutic experience", this in turn led her to specialise in mother and baby craniosacral therapy. Commited to working with mothers and babies and the empowering therapeutic benefits that the craniosacral process brings to the family, she is the mother and baby craniosacral therapist at the Hommerton hospital with the Shoreditch midwifery practice. Joan is also trained in Somatic trauma Therapy and is a qualified Doula.
