About: The clinic specialises in the treatment of pregnant women, mothers and their babies, the mother and baby are generally treated together, treatment is extremely flexible in a safe, relaxed and playful environment. Children up to the age of 4-years are welcome to come for treatment. The clinic was set up to provide women with access to the healing ability of craniosacral therapy at this important time when regular treatment can help ease the very normal difficulties and health issues experienced during pregnancy and the early years as well as support working through trauma if needed.Craniosacral therapy is not intended to replace conventional medicine
About Sarah Nesling, Joan Didier & Mattea Di Gaetano:
Sarah Nesling has 30 years experience working with families and specialises in mother and baby craniosacral therapy as well as running trainings for other therapists including nurses and midwives. She works to support women through pregnancy, easing ailments and helping prepare the pelvis for birth. Afterwards psychological support can help alongside craniosacral therapy and Sarah is skilled in assisting mothers and babies through recovery from births that may have felt traumatic as well as working with infant and postnatal health issues (pelvic floor recovery). She has a particular interest in working to lower stress levels during pregnancy and postnatally so the mother and baby can benefit form a calm and happy beginning or quickly get back to it if things don’t go to plan.
Joan Didier has extensive experience working with mothers and babies, children and women in pregnancy; Joan used this non intrusive therapy to release trauma at the birth of her grandson “a wonderful moving and therapeutic experience”, this in turn led her to specialise in mother and baby craniosacral therapy. Commited to working with mothers and babies and the empowering therapeutic benefits that the craniosacral process brings to the family, she is the mother and baby craniosacral therapist at the Hommerton hospital with the Shoreditch midwifery practice. Joan is also trained in Somatic trauma Therapy and is a qualified Doula.
Mattea Di Gaetano has been a Complementary Therapist working with pre- and post-natal women and babies for over 20 years; offering Massage, Reflexology, Bowen Technique and Craniosacral Therapy to people of all ages and backgrounds. Her particular interest in Craniosacral Therapy began when it was fundamental to her son’s recovery from health conditions due to his premature birth. This led to her qualifying with the goal of specializing in working with Mothers and Babies. With her extensive experience and on-going fascination with the profound healing potential facilitated by Craniosacral Therapy, she brings an ability to deeply listen to each individual (physically, emotionally & psychologically). She sensitively and gently supports health and well-being, so that mothers are supported to trust their own intuitive bond and children may experience a good start in life.
