FERTILITY AND CHINESE MEDICINE
Traditional Chinese acupuncture is an holistc health system that addresses the root cause of a problem, treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Acupuncture enhances the functioning of the body’s natural processes to help create optimum health and hormone levels prior to and during the times you are trying to conceive. It reduces the affects of stress and has also been shown to improve the IVF success rate.
More and more women and men are turning to Chinese herbs for help with fertility issues. Recent research demonstrates that using Chinese herbal medicine results in higher success rates of pregnancy, with no patient side effects and a reduction in the category of patients conventionally classified as having unexplained infertility. It appears to have a positive effect on ovarian follicle size, endometrium thickness, FSH level, progesterone levels and corpus luteum size and vascularity. Chinese herbs can also be helpful for polycystic ovary syndrome, habitual miscarriage, amenorrhoea, irregular menstrual cycle, stress reduction and for men with low sperm count or motility.
Together acupuncture and Chinese herbs are a powerful combination for enhancing fertility.
