Profile: Having been a contemporary dance practitioner for 20 year before becoming a craniosacral therapist, Susanne has always been keenly interested in the expressions of the body-mind-spirit. In her practice she combines deep listening, empathy, humour and a thorough understanding of the body. Her patients value the safe space in which they can heal, her openness and friendliness.
Message from Susanne:
I am profoundly interested in the alleviation of all suffering, be it emotional, physical or other. I am committed to assisting you in restoring and supporting your health by working with your own natural resources., despite being in an inner-city setting.
Throughout my life I have been told that I had ‘healing hands’, but not until craniosacral therapy found me did I recognise the depth of healing for the entire body-mind system convincing me to become a practitioner.
As an artist might strive for harmony or balance in his/her work, so does the body. In the body, life is expressed in ebb and flow, rhythms and shapes. It is flowing in an intricate magneto-electric matrix, which can take on distortions through accidents, illness, trauma, grief and other life experiences. The body will always attempt to balance the distortions, but may need help, when it is overwhelmed. Gently held the body-mind can adjust its motions in its own time, without pressure and therefore without re-traumatisation.
