About Joan Didier & Sherridan Stymest:
Joan Didier has extensive experience working with mothers and babies, children and women in pregnancy; Joan used this non intrusive therapy to release trauma at the birth of her grandson “a wonderful moving and therapeutic experience”, this in turn led her to specialise in mother and baby craniosacral therapy. Commited to working with mothers and babies and the empowering therapeutic benefits that the craniosacral process brings to the family, she is the mother and baby craniosacral therapist at the Hommerton hospital with the Shoreditch midwifery practice. Joan is also trained in Somatic trauma Therapy and is a qualified Doula. Read Joan’s profile here
Sherridan Stymest has enjoyed working with new and expectant families for more than a decade now. She particularly works with babies who have feeding difficulties, digestive issues, colic, restlessness and poor sleep. Having worked in several London hospitals as an infant feeding specialist she is well aware of the impact birth can have on our physical and emotional well being along with the effect of conflicting but well meaning advise. Her calm and gentle approach encourages and supports families to trust their own intuition while informing them of relevant evidence-based practise.
As a craniosacral therapist, Sherridan aims to help settle the nervous system, lower stress levels, aid healing and help forge positive relationships. Having had a premature baby herself, and understanding the benefit of regular treatments, she trained in the biodynamic approach at CTET. She loves the effect of this powerful, non-invasive treatment, and seeks to help others find their own way, so that they feel well supported and their children have a good start in life.
Sherridan also shares her passion and knowledge as a teacher and practitioner for various charities and the NHS, is a lactation consultant and a birth companion/doula.
